Privacy Policy
Omni ("we", "us") operates askomni.app. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights under the GDPR. Omni is a sole proprietorship registered in the Netherlands ([KvK NUMBER], VAT [VAT NUMBER]), [BUSINESS ADDRESS]. Contact: hello@askomni.app.
What we collect
- Account data: your email address (sign-up is passwordless via magic link) and your subscription tier.
- Questions and answers: when you ask a question we store the question text, the final answer, and the three individual model answers, linked to your account so you can revisit them.
- Shared answer cache: to improve speed and reduce cost, questions and their answers are also stored in a shared cache that is NOT linked to any account. The text of a question and its answer may therefore be served to another user who asks the same thing. Do not put personal or sensitive information in your questions.
- Anonymous demo: if you try Omni without an account, we store a one-way hashed form of your IP address solely to enforce the one-free-question limit. We cannot reverse it to identify you.
- Payment data:handled by LemonSqueezy as merchant of record. We store only subscription identifiers and status — never card details. (Note: payment webhook records may contain the name/email you gave LemonSqueezy.)
- Feedback: if you rate an answer, we store the rating and any comment.
- Usage analytics:Vercel Web Analytics — cookieless, no cross-site tracking, no persistent device identifier.
- Functional browser storage: small preferences (theme, drafts, dismissed tips). Not tracking cookies.
Processors we share data with
We use: Supabase (database & authentication, hosted in the EU — Ireland), Vercel (hosting & cookieless analytics), Google / Anthropic / OpenAI (the AI models that answer your questions), LemonSqueezy (payments, merchant of record), and Resend (delivery of authentication emails, configured via Supabase). Each processes data only to provide its service, under its own data processing agreement.
AI model processing
Your question text is sent to Google, Anthropic, and OpenAI via their paid commercial APIs to generate answers. Under these providers' API terms, they do not use data submitted via the API to train their models.
International transfers
Your account data and question history are stored in the EU (Ireland). The AI providers (Google, Anthropic, OpenAI), our hosting/analytics provider (Vercel), and our payment and email providers (LemonSqueezy, Resend) are US-based, so your question text and, for payments, your billing details are transferred to or transit through the US. These transfers rely on the providers' standard contractual clauses / data processing agreements.
How long we keep it
Account data and question history: until you delete your account. Shared cache entries: retained to serve future identical questions (not linked to you). Anonymous IP-hashes: kept only to enforce the daily rate limit, not linked to your identity.
Your rights (GDPR)
You can access, correct, export, or delete your data. You can delete your account and its associated data (your question history, subscription record, and feedback) yourself from the Danger zone on the Upgrade page. Two stores are not automatically removed because they are not linked to your account: the anonymized shared cache, and payment-webhook records. To request removal of specific cached content or of webhook records tied to your email, email hello@askomni.app and we will action it within 30 days. You may also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
Security
See our Security page for hosting, encryption, and breach-notification details (affected users notified by email within 72 hours per GDPR Art. 33).
Changes
We will update this page and the "last updated" date if our practices change.
